If the evil prince Bernie had an online vote to have a high speed oval on the calender, would you vote YES or NO. Also, which track?
![]() 07/10/2016 at 17:50 |

if it’s purely Oval then no
![]() 07/10/2016 at 17:51 |

No, because every team would quit

Seeing them at IMS would be awesome, but they’d never allow it since the cars would likely be faster than Indycar. Also, the amount of tire development they’d need to run an oval would be massive. If they ran on any banking it would tear the tires to shreds (which is exactly why we lost the U.S. Grand Prix at IMS).

Sure, Pocono be great. For lol’s have them run Martinsville.

If it has to be a purely oval track, I vote for Darlington or Bristol (F1 short tracking? Hell yes!). A higher speed tri-oval like Charlotte or Atlanta could also be entertaining.
If purely oval isn’t a restriction, Pocono could be a fun challenge for them, too.

nope. indy car already does it. no point in it.
![]() 07/10/2016 at 18:07 |

Dover be interesting since it is not a typical race surface.

Yes, and Bowman Gray. Let’s see the Mercedes drivers have a real fight.

Lets reopen Wilkesboro for this.

F1 Grand Prix of Dixie at Bristol. Make it happen.
![]() 07/10/2016 at 18:19 |
|
No.
![]() 07/10/2016 at 18:34 |
|
That is sinister.
![]() 07/10/2016 at 18:41 |

What they really should do is bring back the full Monza circuit. Road course and oval all in one

There would be a carbon fiber shortages after all the broken wings after that race, Bernie needs to make it happen.

I think NASCAR at Circuit De Sarthe would be a better mashup. It wouldn't be a 24 hour race, I would be until the last engine blows up.
![]() 07/10/2016 at 19:01 |

Pocono would be great, but would probably need to be resurfaced first.
![]() 07/10/2016 at 19:16 |

Yes. Taladega. If we are going to play fantasy they may as well trim them out, put a gear in and go for 265.
![]() 07/10/2016 at 19:29 |

Trust the guy who does actual race stuff to have already thought of my suggestion. That would be badass.
![]() 07/10/2016 at 19:32 |

No because ovals are fucking stupid.
![]() 07/10/2016 at 19:49 |

Merging traffic with super high speed differentials. Oh and also have pit lane there too.
What can go wrong?
![]() 07/10/2016 at 19:52 |
|
Martinsville would be excellent. Ya want some braking zones Herman Tilke, here are some braking zones!
![]() 07/10/2016 at 19:57 |

The thought of seeing constantly glowing carbon ceramic brakes makes me want to see this happen.
![]() 07/10/2016 at 20:54 |

Apart from the pitlane I don't see any parts that have massive speed diffs?
![]() 07/10/2016 at 20:57 |
|
Iirc, The side by side front stretch was open so the cars that were leaving what would become the parabolica would merge with cars leaving Sud Alta Velocita.

I was at that face, fuck Bernie and fuck the Fia.
![]() 07/10/2016 at 21:42 |

You’re right, it was open side-by side. But I figure that’s easy enough to fix. Add a wall to divide the two sides and you’re good to go. And I think it’d be cool seeing cars on the two sides side-by-side.
![]() 07/10/2016 at 21:57 |
|
Hmm, didn’t know that. I guess that could be fixed pretty easily though.

Sooo Indy car?
![]() 07/11/2016 at 10:05 |

So adding extra drama to nascar.
![]() 07/11/2016 at 10:14 |

![]() 07/11/2016 at 10:25 |
|
YES!!!!!!
![]() 07/11/2016 at 12:49 |

you’ll lose the excitement of late brakers trying for a gap that is rapidly closing or even those getting some nice oppo
![]() 07/11/2016 at 13:06 |
|
constant battles will make up for it
![]() 07/11/2016 at 19:23 |
|
that would make it INDY CAR....
![]() 07/11/2016 at 20:16 |
|
And? F1 is so damn boring the last 5 years. A little crazy wouldn’t be a bad idea
![]() 07/11/2016 at 20:38 |
|

its as boring as an uneventful nascar race with no wrecks....
